Chomeez of Nka’Thuto EduPropeller…

Chomeez of Nka’Thuto EduPropeller…

by Thulile / Friday, 20 April 2018 / Published in Blog, Investor Central, Media

This communiqué officially marks the launch of the Nka’Thuto newsletter aimed at ensuring that #NoOneIsLeftBehind in our growth as a community of edupropellers with a direct stake in the advancement of South Africa through the process of innovation and its dissemination.

The year 2017 marked the official registration of Nka’Thuto and was the year we created and ironed out our systems to ensure that the organisation functions at its best.

We were fortunate to be able to interact with many of you last year during our Nka’Thuto workshops and Nka’Thuto Innovation Expos held at our respective partner schools, which led to meeting again at the Finals held at Freedom Park, Pretoria. We live the ‘work hard play hard’ mantra and we thought the golf course at the Soweto Country club would be the perfect place to host for the Young Professionals Networking golf clinic. It was great to discover that we are on par with some of you when we learnt how to putt and swing, where struggle veteran Baba Andrew Mlangeni showed who the King of course really is.

Who could forget seeing the gorgeous ladies in their evening gowns and the dapper gentlemen in their Tuxedos at the Nka’Thuto Inaugural Gala Dinner, held in celebration of the edupropeller-finalists of the Nka’Thuto Programme – The TechnoPreneurship workshop and Pitching Competition. The glitz, glam with the bells and whistles sit fresh in mind – what a spectacle that was!
With the year already in full swing barely a quarter of the way into 2018, we thought this provides the perfect opportunity to initiate communication with our chomeez. We hate spam as much you do, so we promise no endless reams of pages, so we’re going to be as punchy and as catchy as possible.

We can already hear some of you say “meh” that’s what they all say! How could they possibly pull that off?
Well It’s this simple… We’ll share information with you that will inspire and give you that warm fuzzy feeling inside. Those on the emotional side may even shed a tear (No jokes, we saw tears at last year’s activities from some of you!).

You will read about an array of things centred around our young propellers (especially the phenomenal thought leaders from the 2017 programme), what they’re getting up to, their plans for the future and beyond. We will also keep you in the loop with everything Nka’Thuto related.

The first newsletter will focus on Lerato Mogomane, the Ultimate Winner at the Nka’Thuto EduPropeller Final Innovation Expo in 2017. The little dynamite from the township of Ivory Park was as shocked as though she had found the golden ticket in her Willy Wonker chocolate bar… Find out what problem she solved, what the judges had to say about her and what her plans are, for 2019, after she matriculates.

The mandate continues to be “giving light to new ideas”, 1 student at a time…
Aaand we’re obviously also going to profile you. #NoOneIsLeftBehind

Ciao for now!!!

Oh and BTW
We see you in Nka’Thuto branded apparel and continuously see your likes and reactions to us on social media and to that we say, “Thank you all and keep them coming!”. We appreciate and value your continued interest in the growth of Nka’Thuto
